Happy Fathers Day to all.....After losing $500 this month playing .25/.50 PLO and 50./1 PLO I finally had a good day today....played 187 hands on 6 tables for a 170 minutes at .25/.50 PLO and left with 263.60.Got my biggest cash on one table of 221.90. in 28 minutes....Now I know that's not much to you PLO ballers out there but to me it means a lot. I love PLO and I'm gonna work my tail off to beat it !!!!! Until next time !!!!

Read This Carefully !!!

Hello everyone after a long uneventful hiatus I'm back in the writing world.It has been several months since I've written but I'm climbing back on my horse.I ride again!!!! Anyway sorry for the delay but my mind wasn't entirely focused on the game that I loved. My summer was filled with grief. My mother nearly died from a stroke, I had 2 deaths in my family and last week I was hospitalized for nearly a week when I was diagnosed with diabetes.As I struggle to cope with what has happened to me in 2008 I again had to deal with Hurricane Ike ripping apart the Gulf Coast and the city where I live Houston,Tx. I watched a city of 4 million people go powerless. 93% of the people here lost power in their homes.No food, No water, No ice, No electricity.It makes it really difficult to exist.All I can think about is getting things back to normal, getting my mother home where she belongs and getting on to making something out of my life.I cannot lose,I choose to exist,I will make,I can't give up!!!!For those of you out there thank you for reading!!!!Until Next Time !!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!

I have a few questions about a hand that really puzzles me.It happened in my local game tonight.The game is 1/2 PLO and we're sitting six handed.I'm in the SB with AdAcKcJc when the button raises to $10.I flat call the $10 because the BB is a maniac who has 1200 in front of him and raises frequently.He raises as usual to $30 and the original raiser(button) flat calls for $20 more. I immediately reraise pot for $120 and the button and BB both call.The flop comes out As8c5h a rainbow flop giving me top set in this three-handed flop.Given the fact that the maniac plays very loosely and the button player has a solid image I take the line that I should play this hand aggressively on the flop since I'm out of position.I feel that I'm way ahead but check raising does me no good here.I pot it for like $360. The BB folds and the button who's sitting on about $700 preflop(I have $650) raises me all in for the rest of my chips.I'm committed so I call the remainder and the button has KsQs7c6h for a backdoor flush draw and an OESD. Now my questions are

A: Did I over play my hand on the flop???
B: Did I give him the right odds to call with only 8 outs???
C: Did I play this hand incorrectly preflop by limp raising???
D. Is there any other line you take in this hand???

I would also like to know what my odds are against a hand like this one.
Of course we run it and a 9 peels on the turn giving him a straight and the board doesn't pair on the river costing me a 1400 pot!!!!!

The Mookie !!!

Prospector

I recently hit a wall on the tables.I felt like my game was growing but my bankroll wasn't.I was reassured by a few friends that I'm playing well and I shouldn't worry about the outcomes.I picked up a neat little program called Poker Academy Prospector.It details stats about your play and I say that it's a must have for poker players. Now I don't have a big sample size but here are a few shots from the program. Note: Net is Tourney Dollars( I wish I had that kind of $$$$) LOL







Looking at the stats it seems that I have a better feel for Stars but I feel that you should be able to play on any site and any structure so I'm challenging myself to play more and use more bankroll management this month.I know that this is a grind but the rewards will be greater.I'd like to thank Rex55( my coach) for all the advice she's given me.If you don't know her she's a superstar!!!! IMO. Thanks Rexy!!!!
